Start to the 2020 Season!!!

The start of the 2020 fishing season is off and running! April 15th marked the opening of Haddock season and that means we all get to start fishing again. The haddock have not got the memo about social distancing and it shows. They are stacked up at the prong in pretty heavy numbers, with most guys limiting out in just a couple of hours. If you don't want to make the journey out to the prong there have been fish at halfway hump too in decent numbers. Guys have been finding most luck on either clams or squid on the classic double hook rig with a weight at the bottom. If you're looking to switch it up though some guys are having luck on pink or white teasers or even some soft plastic grubs
The Stripers are also on their way here and they have been spotted as close as Cape Ann. Some guys fishing up here have found some winter holdovers and we should expect to see to see the mass of schoolie striper come in any day now. The shad have also been hitting pretty consistently on either darts or spoons.
The store is open for business 7 days a week now so stop on by and we can help get you fishing or do a little boat work to get you ready to go out on the water. This season might be starting off a little bit different than most but that doesn't mean we cant go fishing so gear up and get out there!
